If you’ve upgraded to macOS 10, 13 or 15, you may be able to find your latest software update through a Mac software update app.
This is because macOS updates are available for the most popular Mac OSes, but you can also use Apple’s macOS software update service to check for updates if you’re not using a specific OS or are running macOS 10 or 11.5.
You can also find the latest Mac software updates by searching for “mac software update” in the Software Update section of Apple’s Mac software downloads page.
If you have a recent version of Apple OS X or the Mac OS X El Capitan, you can download a copy of macOS from Apple’s website.
If not, you’ll need to install the latest update from the Apple Software Update website.
If you’ve updated to macOS Sierra or later, you should check the macOS 10 update status for the Mac Software Update app.
If it has a green update button next to it, that means the update is available for download.
If the update doesn’t have a green button, that indicates the update isn’t available for purchase.
